We are currently looking for a designer to join the Blu Dove Designs team. Below is the key characteristics and software skills necessary for a position with us. We require a well-rounded individual with a variety of skills and a great personality. If you believe you have what it takes and are interested in applying for any of these positions, please follow the guidelines below.
Key characteristics we are looking for:

• Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound
• Always willing to learn new techniques, technologies, etc.
• A.A. or A.S degree minimum
• Have your own laptop
• Own your own Adobe licensed creative suite
Software skill-sets we require:
• HTML, XHTML
• CSS & some PHP
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
• FTP Client
• Skype
• Experience with Mac and Windows environments
• Experience with Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers
• Knowledge of how to embed videos from YouTube and similar web sites
Other software skill-sets we would like you to have, but can also be trained if the above are present:
• Javascript (not necessary but very useful)
• Joomla CMS experience (but will train too)
• Joomla Templating (willing to train)
• WordPress
Internships
We offer internships for students who are pursuing degree in Multimedia, Web Design, Coding, or Advertising and are looking for experience. Experience working with the Blu Dove team will help you gain valuable industry knowledge and hands on experience. At this time, these are 100 hour, unpaid internships, regardless of your program requirements. We believe that a full learning experience cannot be achieved with anything less. Please check with us prior to the beginning of each semester for availability. Currently, since we have an opening for a part-time design position, it is possible that the qualified applicant can obtain a paid position once the internship hours have been completed. Contracted Members
Our team is made of independent contracted members, which offers everyone the flexibility to learn, grow and work together constructively. We're pretty easy going for the most part as long as the work is getting completed in a timely fashion and the clients are happy, though we do have some guidelines in place to help keep everyone happy and on the same page. We are hard-working, extremely dedicated to our clients and like to have fun with whatever project we have the privilege to develop. At the same time, we know when to be serious and get down to work. An application, examples of work and interview process is required.
