Overview and History

With a dream, a desire to help others and a $600 used Mac desktop...Blu Dove Designs was born!

Blu Dove Designs was founded by Lisa Renshaw, first part-time in 2003 and then going full-time in 2004.  We consider our official birthday to be April 1, 2004.  The idea was to create a company that would truly serve its clients with honesty and integrity and provide a one-stop place for a business to get everything they would need to be successful. 

In September of 2005, John Fearing joined the Blu Dove team as an intern and upon finishing school came on full-time.  He has since moved to Savannah, GA and completed his BA degree with SCAD and continues to work remotely.  Kristine Laswell, joined the team in 2005 to help with the accounting -- since she and Lisa had been best friends for over 20 years, it seemed a natural fit and it has been!  She works remotely from her home in Pennsylvania.  Natalie Pelletier joined the team in 2009 after graduating with her advertising degree from the University of Florida and has become an integral part of the company - she's the first one you'll talk to when you need a consult and Lisa's partner. Starting in 2012, she opened up our Altamonte Springs / Winter Park Orlando branch office. Mibsam Cardenas was the most recent to join the team in the Fall of 2010 - first as an intern and then staying on part-time. Together the 5 of us are a solid team, who support one another and discuss most of the major decisions collectively...and we do have a lot of fun too!

Blu Dove Designs is a member of the Builders Association of North Central Florida, Advertising Federation of Gainesville, and the Newberry Jonesville Chamber of Commerce. In addition, we are active in our community and believe that an important aspect of our success is giving back to the area we call home... Alachua County.

Our number one goal is to help businesses succeed! How do we do that? We spend a lot of time getting to know your business AND most importantly You. By sitting down with you, one-on-one, you'll understand that we are in this to help you; to guide you through the various technological mazes (especially the Internet); and ultimately, to be part of your team for the long run. Blu Dove Designs will be there to help you pick up the pieces after a hurricane, and we'll be here to celebrate with you as you reach the goals you've set for your business or organization.
