2. What are your fees?
The Initial Consultation to discuss the scope of the project(s) and give an estimate is free of charge. Estimates will be given based on the initial consulation and the current rates for Graphic Design & Web Development. Special rates are available for community non-profit organizations where budget constraints may be an factor (proof must be supplied at time of initial consultation). Fees/Estimates are NOT given out via email or over the phone due to the varying nature of project requirements.

3. Are your fees different for Logo Design?
Yes and we're going to be honest here -- Well researched and developed logos are not a dime a dozen. If your budget is under $1000 for a properly developed corporate identity, then we will have to respectfully decline your project. We understand the value of a logo and take great care in our work, so our logos do not come cheap. The cost of our logos are billed as a flat rate fee. Please contact us for current rates and package for corporate identity that may include business cards or other items you will need with your logo.

4. Do you require a deposit or can I pay when I receive the artwork?
For new clients, a 50% deposit is required up front and will be based on the estimate provided after the initial consultation. Jobs under $500 will be required to have a 75% deposit paid prior to work beginning.

5. What is the turn-around time on print jobs?
Turn around time depends on the type of printed job. Generally you can expect anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. We will quote turn around at the time the order is placed

6. What forms of payment do you take?
Visa, MC, Discover, Amex, e-Check. A small processing fee will apply. Checks and Money Orders are accepted from local businesses only.

7. When do I pay for printed products like business cards & brochures?
We require that the project is paid in full prior to going to press. If for some reason there are problems or errors with an order caused by the printer, we will act on your behalf to be sure that proper compensation occurs.

8. Am I required to sign a contract or letter of agreement?
Yes. After the initial consultation, we will provide you with a detailed proposal containing your cost estimate and terms of service, which you will be required to sign prior to our team beginning your project. This assures both parties that items agreed to will be adhered to.

9. Will I own the artwork after full payment?
Yes. All logos and artwork created for the purposes of the project will the property of the client after full payment has been received.*Photography is considered separately for these purposes. Blu Dove Designs retains creative and personal rights to use any completed project for the purpose of competitions, future publications on designs, educational purposes and the marketing of Blu Dove Designs. If payment is not received in full or contract is cancelled, Blu Dove owns all rights to artwork.

10. Will you work directly with my printer?
If requested, Blu Dove Designs will work directly with the printer, approve all printer proofs and take all the worries of printing off your hands. You may choose the printer or we will be happy to select the best one for your budget and needs. Printing costs will be billed separately. If you are located outside of the Gainesville, Ocala, Jacksonville Area printer proofs will be approved by the client unless otherwise specified by the contract.

11. Do you have any small business start-up packages available?

12. What software programs do you use?
The Blu Dove team is proficient on both PC and MAC platforms, including and not limited to: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, QuarkXPress, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, Access, CuteFTP, CyberDuck, Wordpress, Joomla, JAlbum and others. Whatever your needs are, Blu Dove Designs will do what it takes to meet those needs.

13. Do I need to supply all of my text and artwork
Yes. We require that all text and images be supplied at the start of your project.

14. Can Blu Dove Designs assist with that information?
Blu Dove Designs wants to be sure that the client receives the services they need to assemble a successful marketing campaign. If you do not have all artwork and text, we will assist you in purchasing photography and writing copy. Hourly fees will apply.

15. What kind of clients/organizations do you typically work with?
Blu Dove Designs' areas of specialty are environmental, medical, architecture, building construction, aircraft, horses, veterinary and non-profits. However, we have the ability to learn any industry that we come in contact with ... information gathering is one of our strengths.

16. Am I required to host my web site with Blu Dove?
No. You are not required to host with us. However, when you do, it allows us to service your site in a much better capacity. We know what our hosting will and will not support, in terms of functionality, security, uptime and technical assistance.

17. What type of hosting do you offer?
We offer both Linux and Windows hosting plans depending on your needs. We also have a special e-commerce package that is hosted elsewhere.

18. What can I expect to pay for a typcial web site?
There is no such thing as a "typical" web site. For a well designed, quality web site, you can expect to pay anywhere from $800 and up, depending on number of pages, functionality needed and how much customization you require. Click here to view our web packages.
